Belvidere, Illinois is home to about 25,000 residents and serves as the county seat of Boone County. The city’s name comes from an Italian word meaning “beautiful view,” and the Kishwaukee River winding through town helps show why. Big Thunder Park honors a Potawatomi chief whose legend has been part of local lore since the city’s earliest days. Belvidere is also known for its large automotive assembly plant, which has supported generations of local families.
Gruner Electric proudly serves Belvidere and beyond, bringing dependable power to homes, farms, and businesses throughout the community. Owner Brandon Gruner has been an electrician for 23 years. He began training in the military and later worked as an industrial electrician before starting his own company, which he now shares with his daughter and son, Hannah and Ashtyn. Families in Belvidere who invest in backup generator installation can also enjoy a bonus, since most insurance companies offer a discount on homeowners insurance for a professionally installed standby generator.
